RePOWER EU Opening Session: The role of just transition in times of crisis

This event will adress REPowerEU and Europe’s energy perspectives considering the Russian invasion of Ukraine that is further exacerbating the need for a just transition and calls for an acceleration of the delivery on the European Green Deal.

Commissioner Simson will deliver a speech and following her intervention then Director-General for Regional and Urban Policy Marc Lemaître will moderate a panel discussion among young policymakers and NGO representatives. They will discuss the EU cohesion policy and the Just Transition Mechanism.
